Why USIRP?

As demonstrated by numerous public-opinion polls, the American people want their immigration laws enforced and traditional lower levels of immigration restored. Despite their desire, a policy of mass immigration is being forced upon them by an array of special interests that stand to gain either wealth or political power because of the policy.

Consider:
The Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) now concedes there are anywhere from 11 to 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S.
Using a variety of excuses, Congress gave permanent residence to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens through a succession of targeted amnesties in the late 1990s. These encouraged more illegal aliens and made a mockery of our laws.
Our visa controls are so weak that the Islamic terrorists who destroyed the World Trade Center simply ignored visa restrictions and entered and left the U.S. at will.
The U.S. set an all-time record for immigration in the 1990s, dwarfing any other ten-year period in American history.
Due to mass immigration, the Census Bureau estimates that U.S. population will leap from 283 million in 2000 to over 400 million by 2050, and could exceed 1.2 billion by the end of this century.
While world population growth has consistently fallen below projections in recent decades, U.S. population growth has consistently been above them due to immigration. If this trend continues, the U.S. share of the earth's population will increase from 5% to 15% by the year 2100!

USIRP's Goals

The U.S. Immigration Reform Political Action Committee (USIRP) believes that immigration-swollen populations of the magnitude currently projected by the Census Bureau will spell environmental, social, and political disaster for the United States.

We expect our nation's elected leaders to uphold the rule of law and safeguard our nation's security by enforcing our immigration laws.

We believe that controlling illegal immigration is achievable through a combination of border enforcement, worksite verification, and visa entry/exit controls. We concur with the recommendations of the U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform that Congress and the President have ignored.

We oppose the mass resettlement of economic "refugees" in this country which is in fact little more than a disguised program of taxpayer-funded immigration.

Our Opponents Among the well funded interest groups that lobby for mass immigration are:
  • Multinational corporations
  • Government employee unions
  • Ethnic grievance group activists
  • Immigration lawyers
  • Resettlement agencies
  • Cheap-labor employers
  • Developers
  • Foreign governments
  • Our Strengths

Despite the enormous wealth and power wielded by these interest groups, polls consistently show the great majority of Americans — regardless of background — support USIRP's goals on immigration.

But we live in a country in which highly organized and motivated groups with much to gain, like the ones cited above, are often able to overrule majority opinion on many issues.

They can be defeated, but we must have the dedication, organization and most importantly, the financial resources to do. Support USIRP. Print off the contribution form, and send in your contribution today!
